Translation-Memory-System (TMS)
In legal translation, there is no room for error.
What is TMS
To translate your documents as quickly and consistently as possible without errors, we work with various translation memory systems. These form the basis of all optimized modern translation processes. Furthermore, they provide the foundation for future translations and are ideally suited for documents that are regularly updated.
A TMS is a translation memory in which translations are stored along with their corresponding source texts. If the same or similar text passages need to be translated again, this memory can be accessed. The TM suggests possible target formulations to the translator for reuse based on previous translations.
The use of a TMS supports adherence to a uniform terminology, acceleration of the translation process and cost reduction in redundant texts.

A Translation Memory System (TMS) is a database that stores previously translated segments alongside their source text, allowing them to be reused in future translation projects.
A TMS ensures consistent terminology and phrasing across all documents by reusing validated translations, reducing the risk of inconsistencies and errors.
By reusing previously translated content, a TMS minimizes the need to translate repetitive text from scratch, which significantly reduces time and overall project costs.
