Express Translation

Machine translation involves translating a text using a computer (or AI) without human interaction.

Fast translations within 24 hours
high quality and reliable!

Do you need a professional translation in the shortest possible time? With express translation, even the most ambitious deadlines are achievable. However, a high-quality result requires a perfectly coordinated team!

For 20 years we have optimized our translation processes and can therefore reliably inform you within one hour whether we can reliably meet your specified deadline.

Experienced teams of  specialist translators accomplish within the given timeframe what a single translator could never achieve alone. Depending on the subject matter, target language, and source text, a single, fast translator, despite their best efforts, translates “only” between 1,500 and 3,000 words per day. An entire team, on the other hand, achieves more than twice that and, with express translations, delivers the  highest quality even under the tightest deadlines.

How the express translation works?

From order placement to delivery of the express translation, it’s a long process – even if it sometimes only takes a few hours.  As soon as you’ve informed us of your required delivery date , our project management team gets to work. They immediately contact numerous highly qualified translators  from our extensive databaseTo ensure we can handle large volumes of text in the shortest possible time, the project management team assembles  a  team of several translators.  We typically receive feedback  from  them within minutes.

Proofreading , if requested,  is also factored into the delivery date. However, this adds  approximately  30%  to the delivery time for the express translation. We can then inform you within one hour  whether we  can meet the requested delivery date.

The documents to be translated are  divided among the translation team, and the source texts are  further subdivided  into logical sections. Instead of the usual 300 words per hour for a single translation project, the volume can thus be more than doubled.

The translators  are in constant communication with each other, ensuring consistent terminology  and style  even in express translations   Once the translated target texts have been compiled, the  proofreading department checks them again for clarity and completeness, if required .

How is the delivery time for an express translation determined?

The delivery time for express translations is  generally  influenced by three  factors: the  subject matter ,  the complexity of the source text  , and the target audience  Documents intended solely for internal company use do not need to meet the highest quality standards. Furthermore, if the text  is in general language our translators anticipate few difficulties

01

When is proofreading necessary?

Proofreading is necessary when there is absolutely no room for translation errors. This becomes particularly tricky with highly technical texts, such as the operating instructions for a complex machine intended for end users. Marketing translations must also meet very high standards to be effective.

In these cases, we strongly recommend proofreading, which is standard practice for translations according to ISO 17100. This will increase the delivery time of an express translation by approximately 30%. However, if you wish to forgo proofreading despite our recommendation, simply inform us explicitly.

02

Which documents are suitable for express translation?

Documents that  you can submit to us digitally are particularly suitable for express translation . Since no layout is required, there is no risk of text getting lost behind images or graphics, even with longer languages.  Hidden  text, on the other hand,  can significantly slow down the translation process.

Scanned documents  are  the biggest  time-wasters.  In these cases, the translator has to  manually type out the entire text. Therefore, for express translations, please be sure to provide us with the original document – ideally in digital form.  This way, there won’t be any unexpectedly time-consuming layout work required  , and nothing will stand in the way of a timely express translation.

Fast technical translations - from low to high urgency

We offer express translation services in  the fields of  technology, law, and marketing  .  This includes  the translation of technical texts such as operating and user manuals, handbooks, and maintenance books; urgent software localization of apps and websites; as well as marketing translations and legal and certified translations. We categorize these fast  and  professional translations into  three  urgency levels: express   , urgent, and fast translations.

1. Express translations

Express translations have  a timeframe of only a few hours .  single translator  cannot meet  this tight deadline  with their normal working hours  . Therefore, it is possible for the translator to work extra shifts , or the project manager  to  utilize an entire team of translators capable of meeting this challenge  During the express translation process, there is frequent communication within the  team as well as  with  you,  the client  .

2. Express translations

Rush translations  usually need   to be completed  the next business day after being  commissioned .  These translations  must be completed by a single translator. Therefore,  they  have  the highest priority  , and the translator will begin  the translation project immediately .  Important:  If you commission us for a rush translation, you should be available for questions even on weekends or after hours , as any ambiguity can lead to delays .

3. Fast translations

While urgent translations  are  often  time-sensitive, they don’t have a fixed  or very short-term  deadline. The translator will work longer hours to complete a higher word count daily. If the deadline is urgent, the translator will also work  weekends  and holidays.
